Web conferencing gets everyone focused on the bottom line, literally.  If leaders and their team use a Java-enabled web browser and PowerPoint or Corel Presentations 8, they already have all the software they'll need.  The only other requirements are a phone line and connection to the Internet so that visuals can be seen while participating in the conference.

Web conferencing built-in tools:

Application Sharing The leader can share what's on his/her desktop and collaborate on documents or software applications in real time.
Web Touring The leader can lead everyone through the Internet.
Co-Leader The leader can spontaneously appoint a co-leader, who then has the same abilities as the leader to control slides, access the web, share applications, etc.
Chat Participants can submit typed queries to the leader, and vice versa-either publicly or privately. The leader has the ability to restrict this feature if desired.
Polling The leader can poll participants online. Questions can be created in advance or done on an ad hoc basis during the presentation. The leader can share answers with everyone or keep them private.
Reports The leader can generate a report of all polling responses or get a list of all participants attending. The report will show everything communicated during the conference and who typed it.
Archiving The leader can save the meeting agenda, slide presentation and speaker notes online. It's easy to access information beforehand and reference in the future.
Whiteboard The leader and participants can interact in a free form similar to the flip chart or whiteboard you may be using in your conference room to capture important points for later reference.
Record & Playback The leader can record the audio portion of the presentation using his/her PC's microphone. The leader can also record and archive the Internet presentation.
Participant List The leader can see a list of who is in attendance.
